Just because capture cards can handle 1080p/60 capture doesn't make them equal. The AverMedia Live Gamer Mini is a $130 capture card that really doesn't live up to the competition in this price point. NOTE: The Live Gamer Mini is down to $99 on Amazon... and that does change my opinion slightly. It certainly performs better in that price point, but the image quality is still sub-par compared to offering just slightly above it in price. This review, however, was done with the originally announced retail price in mind. But first... What am I drinking??? Sticking local with Old Town Brewing (Portland, OR) Upper Left NW IPA (6.3%). An interesting, fruit-forward IPA, ditching the usual aromatics for... blueberries? Kudos for trying something new, and while I can taste the blueberry, it doesn't mix well with the tangerine and hops in the main body of this beer. Different, drinkable, but not great. *Links to items below may be affiliate links for which I may be compensated* Check out the AverMedia Live Gamer Mini on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2KsamHv Pengo 4K HDMI Grabber (1080p Capture): https://amzn.to/2YXViVO Find the parts I recommend on my Amazon store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/craftcomputing Follow me on Twitter @CraftComputing Support me on Patreon and get access to my exclusive Discord server.
